Policies/Additional Information

Appropriate Clothing/Equipment:

You are entering a high alpine winter environment with varying weather conditions and need to dress for it.  Warm socks, breathable baselayers, eye protection (goggles), waterproof gloves, snow pants and jacket, and sunscreen are needed as a minimum.

We have souvenir neck gaiters available at the Snowsports School desk if you need an added layer of warmth or protection from the elements.

If using your own equipment, your skis and boards must have metal edges and it’s recommended that your gear is checked out/tuned by a professional prior to your visit to ensure the best possible ease of use and safety functioning of bindings, etc.

Students are responsible for their own equipment

Planning for Your Lesson:

Road conditions change quickly so you should give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the Resort safely.

Please check in at the Snowsports School desk a minimum of 20 minutes (on weekdays) and 30 minutes (on weekends/Holidays) prior to your lesson session.

Lesson Sessions start promptly at either 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM daily.

Kids:

Prepare your child for the day by explaining why they are here and assure them that you will return at lunch and/or at the end of their lesson.  Also make sure they are well-rested and have a good breakfast; riding and skiing require lots of energy.

Our Snowsports School lessons are on-snow Sessions.  Make sure your child wants to be here and participate before you sign them up.

Adults:

Be well-rested and well-fed on lesson day.  Consider bringing along a snack bar for extra calories as needed during your day.  Learning to ski and snowboard requires a lot of energy and effort so you’ll want to be as physically and mentally prepared as possible for your best success.

Other Policies:

If you would like to observe your children, please do so from a distance as not to distract the lesson.

Helmets are required for all participants under age 16 and for any guests participating in freestyle based lessons.  This link www.lidsonkids.org may help answer other helmet questions you have.

All Snowsports School participants must have a lift ticket or season pass and sign the Liability Waiver (provided at check-in).  Some of our products include tickets/pass while others do not.  If needed, you can purchase your tickets/passes from Hogadon near the main entrance on the top floor.

Adult Beginner Group Lessons with 3 or less in the group are only 1.5 hours in length.

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.  Refunds are not issued for no-shows and cancellations made within 24 hours.  Weather and snow conditions are not viable reasons for cancellation.

Large group reservations require a 50% deposit upon booking your visit.
